Dr. Dilip Kumar Deka is the pioneer of laparoscopic surgery in Assam. He was the one who had started laparoscopy in 1992 and since its advent, Dr. Deka has been actively conducting many laparoscopic camps in various parts of Assam. With immense experience and knowledge, specially in Anorectal surgeries, he does all sorts of new Anorectal procedures and all sorts of laparoscopic and advanced procedures. Apart from that, Dr. Deka takes care of all types of hernia—inguinal, ventral and recurrent by laparoscopy.

With such contribution to the field of Surgery, Dr. Deka has been a senior member of ASI and IAGES. Currently he is with Nemcare Hospitals Pvt Limited as Director and as a Senior Consultant in General Surgery.
