New England Medical Care Institute Offers
Hospitalist Program in Woonsocket, Rhode Island
(WOONSOCKET, RI) — New
England Medical Care Institute (NEMCare) is pleased to announce
the start of its new hospitalist
program at Landmark Medical Center. Landmark is the leading
provider of health care services in northern Rhode Island and nearby
Massachusetts communities. New England Medical Care Institute is
a physician-owned provider of contract medical care and management
services based in E. Providence, Rhode Island.
New England Medical Care Institute’s hospitalist team includes
two highly trained physicians: Reza Sharafi, MD and Alok Mohan,
MD. Dr. Sharafi comes to Landmark following a residency at New York
University Downtown Hospital. Dr. Mohan completed the residency
program in Internal Medicine at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health
Center & Weill School of Medicine of Cornell University. Both
are board-certified/board-eligible in internal medicine.
NEMCare’s hospitalist programs provide highly qualified, accessible
and communicative physicians to assist hospital medical staff. The
NEMCare hospitalists serve as an extension of each patient’s
primary care provider. Doctors who refer to NEMCare’s program
are assured that their patients will receive the highest level of
care during an inpatient stay. Because NEMCare hospitalists are
always in the hospital setting, referring physicians are able to
devote more time to keeping patients and their families healthy
in the outpatient setting.
